A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE HUMANS US.

we tell stories. here’s ours.

hey, i’m lane. thanks for being here.

the previous episode:

15 years ago in 2010, i set up a small recording studio in an industrial warehouse in greenpoint, brooklyn, across the street from a polish bakery and prop storage for some bad TV shows. i walked past tom selleck dressed like a cop at 4am on more than one post-session walk to the G train.

that’s where i learned most of what i know: how to make records, produce bands, write songs, run a business, manage a team. how to cut it as a creative person in new york.

after a decade of slogging it out in the studio, the records were sounding good. but the internet had completely changed the music landscape and playing shows alone wasn’t enough anymore for an artist to break through.

the artists i was working with needed help getting out there.

i started filming sessions, taking press photos, producing podcasts, shooting documentary vlogs. i didn’t know i was sowing the seeds of my creative agency, but the work needed to get done. it was buck up or shut up. and it worked.

the now:

15 years later, UFO is my way of bringing it all together.

we’re a small and mighty team working out of a much nicer studio in clinton hill, brooklyn.

we work with brands, but with the same indie music grit from the good old days.

we take pride in every detail because that’s where the magic is. we workshop the “why” before the “how”. we treat every client the same way we treat our artists.

we stopped trying to put a label on it; we’re not just a creative agency, a video production company, a music house, a photo studio…

we’re a bunch of creative people who really give a fuck about the work.

if you’ve made it this far, let’s talk. i’d love to hear your story. 👽
